James Leathers – Physiotherapist

Having gained a Master level degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Essex, James is fully registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) and the Health Professions Council (HPC).

Having gained valuable experience of musculoskeletal physiotherapy with Leyton Orient’s Centre of Excellence in the 2009/10 football season, James went onto work with Watford Football Clubs Centre of Excellence. James has also worked at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, Ipswich Hospital and is now a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist with Allied Health Professionals: Suffolk, as well as being the lead physio at JL Physiotherapy.

James holds a Sports Science degree in which he studied muscle and exercise physiology, anatomy, nutrition, biomechanics and kinesiology. James carried out research into biomechanics and the reasons behind metatarsal injuries in professional sports men and women.  He also gained qualifications in football coaching through West Ham United and the David Beckham Academy. James has previously worked for Leicester City Football Club. These qualifications enable James to work effectively with sports men and women of all ages and understand the needs to regain full fitness and to work to their full potential.
